Brilliant

Of all the gems and jewels, there’s a reason diamonds have remained the most desired and beloved—and the perfect embodiment of how to shine bright.

When you think of luster, your mind likely goes straight to diamonds because they have long been the ultimate expression of brilliance. In their purest form, they shine like the sun and sparkle like the stars, reflecting untainted light in a breathtaking display of radiance.

That such luminosity emerges from carbon—dense, dark rock mined from deep within the earth’s core—is both fascinating and encouraging. It reminds us that, with enough time and refinement, we too can transform into the most brilliant version of ourselves.

The journey of a diamond mirrors the familiar arc of becoming found in many myths and fairytales. Think of the archetypal Cinderella, the overlooked figure whose nature is not immediately recognized. These tales center on individuals whose potential is diminished, whose value is obscured, and whose destiny requires a series of trials to bring their true essence to the surface.

In every story, transformation  is happening long before the heroine realizes it. She endures hardship and disappointment without yet understanding that the very experiences that seem unfair or unbearable are reshaping her. She is being honed so she can evolve into her purest form.

Before and even in the midst the refinement process, you may also be disregarded or discounted. Others may fail to recognize your worth. You may even underestimate yourself. But while many things collapse under pressure, a true diamond—one of the hardest substances on earth—becomes more formidable.

Right now, you are an uncut gem, your aura still hidden beneath layers of doubt, fear, or circumstance. But every strike against your confidence, every challenge to your talents, every moment you’ve been overlooked or underrated has served a purpose. You are being chiseled and polished into the person you are meant to become.

And even in this phase, you get to glow. Becoming unfolds in stages, and a diamond begins to catch the light long before its final cut. As you grow, subtle glimmers will hint at your emerging luster; let yourself radiate each step of the way. You do not have to hide while you develop.

If you cannot resonate with the high vibration of a diamond—if you don’t yet see yourself with that level of clarity—adorn yourself with them. As symbols of purity and prosperity, diamonds and similar jewels support uplifted, abundant thinking. Whether or not you believe in their energetic qualities, their beauty can act as a daily reminder of your innate value.

And when your natural magnificence finally and fully appears, as it inevitably will, do not try to conceal it. You won’t be able to anyway; brilliance is impossible to contain. Instead, revel in the evolution you have earned. Stand fully in the splendor of your becoming and shine bright like the diamond you’ve always been.
